Venom (2018) tried to portray Venom as a kind of dark character who says scary stuff but I’ve read comics so I know Venom is actually just a super enthusiastic and emotional boyfriend so nice try there Sony
He’s so enthusiastic? He’s so excited to be where they first met and is scared that Eddie isn’t happy too
And he gets confused a lot cos he doesn’t understand why he and Eddie don’t always agree on stuff and he thinks it makes him bad
But when he does good stuff he gets super excited cos he loves being a hero and it’s just v adorable
I’m seeing a lot of post-movie interest in Symbrock, and I feel the need to spread the good word about these two and the love they have for each other. Not creepy dub-con things … love. Don’t believe me? Read on.
Venom: The Hunger
It’s not a conventional relationship to be sure, but these two have it so bad for each other…
The heart. The heart at the end of The Hunger absolutely slays me.
Venom (2016)
The writers lay it on THICK in this series. If you want to try to pretend it’s not a love story … well …
Yeah, you can’t. Furthermore, as soon as Eddie Brock shows up, he starts laying it on thick.
The Symbiote is not mincing words either, even while it is struggling to understand love and how to keep it with Eddie.
If you want more proof of their feelings, @guardiandae did another, non-overlapping post of Eddie & the Symbiote’s relationship in the comics. Good stuff, go look.
I can’t believe the movie no-homoed the relationship between Eddie Brock and the Venom Symbiote. Like, making everything uncomfortably homoerotic is one of Venom’s defining traits as a character – they might as well give us a Spider-Man who doesn’t stick to walls!
The new Venom movie has a scene with intense flashing lights (the lab entry scene) and I received no warnings and had to leave (just for that scene) as I am epileptic!!! PLEASE share this since I’ve seen NO warnings being shared and this is very important and can prevent people from having seizures etc during the film.
