creating venom without spider-man has created the greatest dynamic between eddie and venom that has ever existed. they aren’t bonding over being hating peter parker, they’re bonding over the fact that they’re both complete losers. they’re two losers that love to eat junk food out of the trash and they can combine together to form an eight foot tall space monster.

That Eddie was just so…not what you’d expect a main male character to be???

Like

  • He screamed a lot and I mean a LOT, and instead of that bs “AAAA” most men in movies make, he was actually screaming/squealing and not just for jokes but because humans sometimes make those noises
  • He was just so lost?? Like he was a total wreck and it was portrayed So Well
  • Even when he was so poor he couldn’t pay his bills, he still remained generous, like “yeah, I have very little but others have even less, I may be in a shitty situation but I can help some people I know who’s lives are even shittier”
  • He asked for help???? Lots of times????? When he was on the motorcycle and begged Venom to do something (idk how that sounded in English but in the dub he was super panicked and practically begging), he asked for help from Anne and Dan and his friend at that building
  • Speaking of his friend, the way he begged Venom not to hurt the mustache guy because “he’s my friend, he’s a good man, he works 3 shifts to support his family” MY HEART

I could go on and on because I love this movie so much and Eddie was just such an amazing character and I love him and I love venom a lot!! Thank u!! If u wanna add on pls do

Say what you want about the new Venom film (and you should say good things because it was awesome) but Eddie’s high pitched scream and trip into the bathtub when he saw Venom was the most accurate real life reaction to ‘I have new superpowers/am possessed’ in history.

Like how many people would actually just roll with it? Be amazed and start jumping off buildings straight away? Nah, I’d panic and freak out.

Can I just say, as great as Venom and Eddie’s relationship was, I appreciated Dan and Anne’s. Dan didn’t fall into the jealous new boyfriend category. Not once did he mistrust Anne about Eddie, showing he was totally comfortable in that relationship and trusted her totally, he was so nice to Eddie instead of telling him to stay away from Anne. It was a healthy relationship dynamic (despite Anne’s possible remaining feelings at the end) and I appreciated it and Dan as a character

Update: I forgot to add, Dan had his priorities right like when he told Anne they needed to talk about what was going on and she said there was nothing going on with her and Eddie and Dan was like ‘no we need to talk about the weird parasite thing that’s unknown to medical science obviously’ and I appreciate that he was focused on the right thing

The new Venom movie has a scene with intense flashing lights (the lab entry scene) and I received no warnings and had to leave (just for that scene) as I am epileptic!!! PLEASE share this since I’ve seen NO warnings being shared and this is very important and can prevent people from having seizures etc during the film.
