[You recognize the pain in each other’s eyes.]
This conversation hit me hard. These characters are so fascinating and emotional, I just had to try and capture this amazing moment.
Also again: Travis Willingham being able to show off deep emotions?? I’m absolutely defeated.
The changing group dynamic, them openly stating that they’re willing to risk everything for each other? Nothing is better._________________

I think it’s really interesting how one of the emerging themes in Campaign 2 is dealing with isolation, because all the M9 have experienced it in one way or other. Jester was hidden away from the world for most of her life, Caleb was institutionalized for eleven years, Nott never fit in with her clan and certainly didn’t fit in with the world outside after she left them, Beau never had friends growing up and was thrown away by her father, Fjord grew up in an orphanage and hasn’t known much kindness in his life, Molly was ‘born’ completely alone, Caduceus has spent most of his life living in a cemetery and totally cut off from the world…we don’t know a lot about Yasha’s past but she left the country of her birth and the people she knew before behind. It’s not just about loneliness, it’s about people who don’t have their own community, who are cut off from the world, who have to learn to engage with people and make connections and build a place they belong to through each other. And it’s fascinating to watch them grow and learn, and how they are suffering through a similar thing but in wildly different ways!
Why didn’t you come?
