my d&d character – Salwa (aka: “Sally” if you’re friends, or if she likes you then you can call her “Auntie”).

Neutral Good. An old half-elf bard of the College of Whispers, she’s long estranged from her elven heritage and prefers to dabble in human politics. She’s a diplomat with charisma off the charts who knows literally everyone. (”What’s that statue over there?” / “Oh, that’s Empress Zibala. I served as her advisor maybe 200 years ago, give or take a century.”)

Another Random Roll dnd OC
Paavu hails from a mountain tribe of Goliath, a race well known for caring less about gender roles and more about who can contribute to the clan. If you can’t contribute to society, well what use are you? As a child Paavu was fairly content with this way of life, since she knew nothing else, how could she? that was until a bard rolled into town, plying their trade, offering songs and poems for food. Obviously this didn’t really swing with the clan and the bard, an elven woman who seemed to be constantly buzzed from whatever was in her pipe, was quickly shooed out of town.
 But not alone.
A young Paavu was entranced by the stranger, who played the viol so sweetly and passionately to the grim faced crowd of her people. Paavu had never had any particular talents, not anything more than she’d been taught to survive and to contribute to the clan. But this way of being, of creating, playing for the sake of feeling good? this was an eyeopener.
The elf was only slightly surprised to find herself being tagged by the young one, taller than her even in her late teens. but she happily handed her a spare lute, lent her some better clothing (cause she was not travelling with someone dressed so nasty thank you) and they went on their way.
 Paavu never went back.

She is now in her 50′s and plays across the land travelling (she and her teacher parted ways after a spat about who was off key at a gig for a duke when she was in her 30′s and hasn’t seen her since). She’s quite confident, in her talent and her vibe, she knows that her size and her looks help her get her way, either through fear or seduction, she doesn’t mind which.
She’s a huge flirt and gives off heavy sugar mama vibes, though she’ll never push it and despises (and fucks over) those who do. despite the flirting, she’s a bit of a (wine) mum too, she’s highly protective of those younger than her, or her party members.
I love her a bunch and am currently working on an intro comic for her.
Paavu is mine
