psa on user windcatcherbreeze

let me start with this is by no means a rally to harass this person, but with their behavior and reach on tumblr, i thought it would be important to issue a warning.  i suggest if you’re involved in any of their fandoms (a few are: pokemon, tokyo mew mew, digimon, my little pony, steven universe, ariana grande, yu gi oh, sailor moon, beyblade, winx) you preemptively go ahead and block them. they randomly message users, without consideration for the age of the other person. this is concerning as most of their fandoms are children’s cartoons/anime. they also may attempt to interact with you if you do a drawing featuring sparkles as that seems to be some kind of sexual obsession of theirs.

they have also made advances on users that stated they were minors while they claim to be 21. meanwhile their bio states that they are in high school.

i’ve been in contact with others (that will go unnamed here for their privacy unless they would like to step forward) windcatcherbreeze has interacted with as well and they confirmed similar behavior from this user such as: sending unprompted sexual fanfiction, unprompted sexual messages, baiting other users to create content for and discuss their fetish, constant unwanted messages, and passive-aggressive behavior when they don’t receive the attention they want.

windcatcherbreeze messaged me soon after i made a post in the tokyo mew mew tag. i thought they were maybe younger so i humored them.  i told my other friend i was getting some awkward messages, who told me our mutual friend also was getting some weird messages from someone on tumblr.  i asked to see and a few days later i found that it was also windcatcherbreeze, with basically the same questions. no doubt this user would have also sent me unprompted sexual messages if i had not said up front how i disliked the “shininess.”

on rereading with knowledge of their glossy/sparkle/shininess fetish wcb was clearly trying to get me to send them picture examples.

https://imgur.com/a/OkwXJug advances on minors, (grooming??) weird content and innapropriate behavior. its unclear if the sparkles are really a sexual paraphilia of theirs but it is highly questionable along with their behavior toward others.

I want to start off by saying thank you very much for making this post, I seriously can’t believe this happened for so long unaware, and I hope you don’t mind if I vent my experience with this user; I have since deleted my convos with them and made sure I have them block and hopefully the other accounts they have. 

It was around in the beginning of the year where they dm me about Dawn from pokeani, I obviously took it lightly at first but it then spiraled to, as we all know by now, them chanting about the sparkle shine effects. I left them hanging and overall I came back to them spilling how they had hoped they hadn’t scared me away (they even tried to message me with their other blog as if it wouldn’t be obvious it was them) and at this rate I knew I had to block them or take their apology – obviously their guilt tripping worked. I gave them a chance and overall we left it off at that. 

Next convo, since I mention I was a beyblade fan, they brought up Madoka and cue the usual shine chime; at this point it was very clear to me that they had a thing for this but because they stated the girls were clearly over age in these headcanons/looks I foolishly believed them. Overall my responses became very blank soon after and I then took more time off tumblr to the point I decided to turn off whenever I’m on here in hopes they just never talk to me, that is until they told me about their dream of me.

They decided to confess that they had a crush on me, and went on about their dream on how I was their sparkle girl bs, and they actually asked if I had any feelings in return. I told them flat I was already in a relationship and overall made it clear I was fed up; they then decided to message me soon after like it wasn’t a big deal so at that point it was a instant block. 

I never wanted to make this public about me, and the reason is knowing full well we get tracked down, but I am a csa victim; I am deeply in distressed right now. 

The fact that this pedophile was playing innocent by saying he meant these things as the girls were clearly older to me, and yet actually promoting their fetish everywhere while they were young, it’s just beyond revolting how their innocent act worked. I’m truly sending my thoughts to those who made contact with them, and as for the minors I’m hoping you guys are safe especially, they should of never gotten this far in the end.

I’m honestly still trying to process my thoughts on this, because I truly can’t believe they thought they can get away with this, and I feel fucking responsible to not have said word about this user. It was clear from this that depending on the ages they talked to, they would mention the ages regarding the girls be known; they made their fetish be known and actually fucking tried to make it shareable within our comfort. 

Because of this experience I now feel guarded up in terms of others approaching me, blocking is now my go to, and overall I just feel terrible. In my years here with pokeani this is by far the most disturbing case, so I’m hoping this will be the last as well. 

Oh man, I did not realize other people had met this person and held… strange conversations with them. I did not experience any of the unprompted sexual messages or confessions some other people have described, but I did encounter the user’s odd, uh, affinity for sparkles.

This was when the shininess/sparkles came up for the first time, and I thought little of it and just went along with the conversation — but it ended up getting progressively weirder to where I would feel uncomfortable and try to change the subject. However, the user would pivot right back to the sparkles/shininess thing.

I eventually stopped responding, but I would occasionally still get messages trying to chat, which I would ignore. I’m 25, a legal adult, so I’m not affected by this in the way some younger users have been, but I feel horrible others have been made to feel uncomfortable or even preyed upon.

I suppose my point in replying to this post is just to say you’re not alone in this, and my inbox is open if you want to talk.
