It really sucks how humor based in meanness has been normalized like i dont even think u have to necessarily be a mean person to think those jokes are funny, bc we’ve been conditioned to think they are and it just sucks bc so often I’ll find myself telling a joke and then in the midst having to step back and recognize that it comes from a place of unnecessary negativity or bitterness & it takes a lot of time & effort to unlearn having a sense of humor built primarily on being mean or spiteful
